Carnage

Dream Sets delivered an ambitious on-site build for Carnage in the remote Tankwa Desert, transforming a harsh, open landscape into a fully realised, high-impact production environment. The set combined rugged, industrial structures with custom-built scenic elements, including modified vehicles, layered textures, and striking focal points that reinforced the show’s raw, post-apocalyptic aesthetic. Every element was designed to withstand the extreme conditions while maintaining strong visual impact on camera.

The lighting design played a critical role in shaping the atmosphere, using powerful fixtures to cut through the vast desert space and create dramatic night-time scenes. Bold colour washes, practical effects, and carefully positioned lighting enhanced depth, scale, and intensity, bringing the environment to life after dark. The result was a visually immersive and technically demanding build that pushed creative and logistical boundaries in a truly unique location.
